TyGer Leader… Could It Get Any Better?

Just wanted to say it's about time someone came up with a wire leader that's user friendly. I appreciate the fact I can use my regular knots with TyGer Leader it saves me loads of time especially when the fish are actively feeding and every moment counts. Clients on my guide trips can't believe how quickly I get them back into the water.

I first became aware of TyGer leader at a fishing show in the Tampa Area several years ago and like everything else I brushed it off as just a newer mouse trap. They gave me several trial packs but I didn't use them right away. Then last year fishing for some exceptionally large Spanish Mackerel I found myself short on leaders. Digging through my leader box I came across this stuff called TyGer Leader. Remembering the spiel about tying your regular knots and out of necessity I grabbed the packages of 30 pound and began tying leaders. Needless to say I've been hooked every since my first experience. Opps! I did say hooked, I meant an avid user of TyGer every since.

Now I use this leader for everything from Redfish around oyster bars to Tarpon on the beach and around the bridges. It works great for any toothy critter especially Mackerel, Kings, Sharks and Blues.
